As Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK), we convey our condolences to the family of Maarefi and Kurdish nation in Eastern Kurdistan on the martyrdom of Kurdish political activist Sherko Maarefi who despite heroic resistance he demonstrated in Iran’s prison was executed on November 4th, in the city of Seqiz (Saghez). Meanwhile we severely condemn this inhumane act of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As we mentioned in our previous statements, these waves of attack orchestrated by the Islamic Republic of Iran and particularly by the new government, are aimed against all nations of Iran, above all the Kurds. These attacks, therefore, are not only against a specific political party or organization. Neither are they against the whole system of political parties and organizations in Eastern Kurdistan. Hence we all must be sensitive and take appropriate measure against it. In the meantime we call upon our nation in Eastern Kurdistan to take a standing for their blessed values as they have always done. Ultimately, we remember all martyrs of our struggle for freedom of Kurdistan and reiterate our pledges to continue on their path.
